Supporting People Living With Dementia in Our Community |
||
|
We want to raise awareness around dementia and remind our community how we can all play a part in keeping vulnerable residents safe. People living with dementia may become confused, disorientated, or lost while out in the town. You can help by keeping an eye out for anyone who appears distressed, unsure of their surroundings, or unable to communicate where they are going. If you come across someone who may need support: The Herbert Protocol is a national scheme that supports families and carers by storing vital information to assist police if a person with dementia goes missing. We encourage carers and relatives to complete a Herbert Protocol form, available via the Staffordshire Police website. Together, we can make our town a safer and more supportive place for those living with dementia. If you ever need advice or wish to report concerns, please contact Staffordshire Police: | ||
